Programs and services especially for children.

Children are so important at the library and we feel part of the door to learning is offering wonderful programs for children to experience interaction with others, at the same time playing, learning and having fun.
- Mickey's Friends (after school program) - Mondays at 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. for children who are in Kindergarten on up. Themes vary from week to week. The program includes: stories, songs, crafts, games, snack and drink.
- Use of the children's department - toys, puzzles, games, computers, & materials to check out
- Finding Gary-
Children may come into the library and search for the SpongeBob snail character- Gary- who is hidden in the library once a week- moving to a new location every Monday. Upon finding him- report his location only to the librarian to receive a piece of candy or a small prize. - Weekly activity sheets or crafts: Complete a coloring, activity sheet, or a craft for a sticker, piece of candy, or other small prize
- Summer Reading Program: a weekly program during the summer for children in preschool - 4th grade. We motivate children to keep reading during the summer by offering themed programs filled with stories, songs, activities, crafts, and special guests. The children read books and earn prizes as they go.
